From February 1st to the 28th, Casa del Cinema will host the film series lovestories, a journey across a timespan of eighty years through twelve memorable love stories that have captured the hearts of spectators all over the world. The public can choose between the great classics of the 1940s to the 1950s, such as The Philadelphia Story by George Cukor, Sabrina by Billy Wilder and The Woman who Lived Twice by Alfred Hitchcock; the films of the Nouvelle Vague from the 1960s such as À Bout de Souffle by Jean-Luc Godard and Jules et Jim by François Truffaut; the hits of the 1970s from Love Story by Arthur Hiller to Harold and Maude by Hal Ashby and Annie Hall by Woody Allen. The line-up moves through the 1990s with The Bridges of Madison County and Romeo + Juliet ending with more contemporary versions in She by Spike Jonze and Portrait of a Lady on Fire by Céline Sciamma.
