From Friday July 12th to Tuesday July 16th, Casa del Cinema will host the third edition of “Nouvelle Vague on the Tiber”, organised by Lutetia e Palatine in collaboration with the Fondazione Cinema per Roma. The series will be inaugurated by a tribute to François Truffaut, forty years after his death, with a screening of his last film Vivement Dimanche!, a light-hearted hymn to comedy, to cinema, to life: the film will be introduced by the actress and director Carolina Pavone. The following day, Alice Winocour will draw the spectator into a powerful story of reconstruction with her Revoir Paris, while on Monday July 15 Mia Hansen-Løve will, in Un beau matin, talk about Paris, its the life experiences and impossible balances. The programme also features two different coming-of-age stories that open a window onto the languages of the present: Stella est amoureuse will be introduced by the director Sylvie Verheyde and the lead actress Flavie Delangle, while the screening of Chien de la Casse will be attended by the director Jean-Baptiste Durand and actress Galatea Bellugi. During the film series, Casa del Cinema will also host the photography exhibition “10 to Watch”, dedicated to the protagonists of new French cinema. The inaugural and closing nights will feature live streaming of the twin film festival Dolcevita-sur-Seine, which will be held concurrently at the Arènes de Lutèce in Paris. Greeting audiences every night will be Aureliano Tonet, film critic for Le Monde.
