On February 8th this year, Jack Lemmon would have been one hundred years old. Casa del Cinema will celebrate the great actor, winner of two Oscars® and every major international film award, with three screenings. The programme will be inaugurated on Saturday February 8th at 6 pm by Some Like it Hot by Billy Wilder, the most famous American comedy of all time, while at 8:30 pm the screening will feature Missing by Costa-Gavras, the film that won an Oscar® for Best Screenplay and the Golden Palm at Cannes. On Friday February 10th at 8:30 pm, it will be The Apartment, yet another masterpiece by the duo Lemmon-Wilder, a bitter and cynical comedy, in which an adulterated American way of life fails to completely erase the candid romanticism of its protagonists
