On Wednesday April 2nd at 6 pm, Casa del Cinema will present a preview screening, with free admission, of The Art of Disobedience, a special event organised by RIF – Museo delle Periferie. The film is an adrenaline-filled journey into the world of graffiti writing from the viewpoint of GECO, one of the most renowned and prolific writers in Europe. In breathtaking footage never seen before, the film takes the viewers through the streets and the highest peaks in Rome (and elsewhere), highlighting the key moments of the absurd manhunt in pursuit of the artist. His identification in Rome in 2020 sparked an unprecedented media storm, dividing public opinion and reigniting the debate on the very concept of art. Who determines the boundary between art and degeneration? The film will be presented by the journalist Maria Egizia Fiaschetti, with interventions by Valerio Bindi, an architect, comic artist and university professor, Giorgio de Finis, who ideated and directs the RIF – Museo delle periferie, as well as writers Bol, Cros, Naps, Syla and Tuff.
