On April 17th, Carlo Di Palma, the revolutionary cinematographer, would have turned one hundred. Casa del Cinema will celebrate the date with the screening, with free admission, of Acqua e zucchero – Carlo Di Palma e i colori della vita by Fariborz Kamkari. The documentary, scheduled to be shown on Monday April 7th at 8 pm, explores the career of the great Roman artist, famous the world over for having illuminated some of the most significant films of the twentieth century. It includes many illustrious testimonials from Bernardo Bertolucci to Ken Loach, from Ettore Scola to Wim Wenders, from Abel Ferrara to Woody Allen. Talking about it with the audiences of Casa del Cinema will be the author Fariborz Kamkari, and Adriana Chiesa Di Palma, Carlo’s wife and the producer of the documentary. The programme of the tribute will be completed with the screenings of Blow up (April 4th at 8 pm) and Manhattan Murder Mystery (April 17th at 8 pm), to celebrate two of the most lasting and successful partnerships of his career, in which he has been a protagonist at the side of Michelangelo Antonioni and Woody Allen.
