From May 8th to May 29th, Casa del Cinema presents the series “Listening to cinema” which will explore the role of music within the seventh art. The theme will be discussed by several famous composers who will be on stage to meet the public and present the screenings of three films for which they authored the soundtrack: on Wednesday May 8th, Pivio and Aldo De Scalzi will introduce The Scent of the Night (L’odore della notte) by Claudio Caligari, while on Wednesday May 22nd the speaker will be Gatto Ciliegia Contro il Grande Freddo for Miss Marx by Susanna Nicchiarelli. The last event, Wednesday May 29th, will feature Teho Teardo before the screening of The Past is a Foreign Land (Il passato è una terra straniera) by Daniele Vicari. The three encounters will be moderated by the musicteller Federico Sacchi.
