From February 6th to 28th, there will be four screenings of Ciao bambino by Edgardo Pistone, winner of the award for Best Debut Film at the nineteenth Rome Film Fest. After his award-winning short Le mosche, the director again uses black and white to talk about the coming of age between adolescence and adulthood. Edgardo Pistone’s surprising debut is also one of the last films that the sorely-missed Gaetano Di Vaio was able to produce: his touch is evident in this story that brings together characters deeply rooted in a harsh reality with a style and narrative that fears no comparison with great international cinema.
The second screening of the film, scheduled for Tuesday February 11th at 8 pm, will be introduced by Edgardo Pistone with the director and screenwriter Francesca Comencini, president of the jury that assigned the award to the film at the Rome Film Fest 2024.
