Casa del Cinema, from November 14th to 30th, will host a series of five films as a tribute to one of the greatest and most innovative cinematographers in the history of the seventh art, Tonino Delli Colli, on the one hundredth anniversary of his birth. The tribute will open with the screening of Once Upon a Time… Tonino Delli Colli Cinematographer by Paolo Mancini, which relies on the suggestion of images to relay the existential and professional, private and public life-path of the great artist. The titles selected from the maestro’s extensive filmography include Accattone and The Hawks and the Sparrows (Uccellacci e uccellini), two of the most representative of his historic partnership with Pier Paolo Pasolini, Poveri ma belli by Dino Risi, in refined black and white, and Seven Beauties (Pasqualino settebellezze) by Lina Wertmuller, famous for its chromatic accumulation.
