From March 1st to 18th (with repeat screenings through April 1st), Casa del Cinema will host the series Signore&Signore, a cycle of fifteen films featuring memorable characters and actresses who made the history of cinema with their performances.
A journey that begins in the 1950s with All About Eve by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, Rear Window by Alfred Hitchcock and Some Like It Hot by Billy Wilder, moves on through the 1960s with Adua e le compagne by Antonio Pietrangeli and Cleo from 5 to 7 by Agnès Varda, and into the 1980s with Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown by Pedro Almodòvar. The more recent films include The Macaluso Sisters by Emma Dante, Promising Young Woman by Emerald Fennell (the author of Saltburn), Suffragette by Sarah Gavron, Lady Bird by Greta Gerwig and Nico, 1988 by Susanna Nicchiarelli.
On Friday March 8th, for International Women’s Day, Chiara Rapaccini, known as RAP, a brilliant and multitalented artist, will present the book “Mio amato Belzebù. L’amara Dolce vita con Monicelli e compagnia”, before the screening of Speriamo che sia femmina by Monicelli.
