A director, actor, screenwriter, he got his first break in television with “Mai dire gol”, a satirical show in which he portrayed a series of comic characters that were a hit with audiences. His debut as a film director came in 1996 with Uomo d’acqua dolce, in which brought a light poetic story to the screen. He followed up with other successful films (La fame e la sete, Il nostro matrimonio è in crisi, Back Home) which he not only directed but also starred in. In 2018 he directed the television series I topi, of which he was also the protagonist. At the Rome Film Fest 2023, he presented the film Cento domeniche.
